- Bhai Mardana, feeling thirsty, requested water from Wali Qandhari, but the saint refused, claiming that divine blessings were necessary to access the water.
- Seeing this, Guru Nanak calmly meditated and touched a rock, causing a fresh water spring to emerge miraculously.
- This angered Wali Qandhari, who rolled a large boulder down the hill towards Guru Nanak to crush him.
- Guru Nanak stopped the massive rock with his hand, and his palm print (Panja) got imprinted on the stone, leaving an eternal mark.
- Witnessing this divine event, Wali Qandhari realized Guru Nanak’s spiritual power, and many people in the area became his followers.
